Commune Wednesdays Summer Success at Soda

Commune was back at Soda Bar this month, Wednesday August 26th, featuring another fantastic local line-up. The evening began with the musical styling of DJ Adam Salter set against a backdrop of giant bright art pieces by Lizeth Santos, which included her limited edition commune poster inspired by big tobacco’s excess use of wood to create their products and packaging.
Throngs of supporters came out to Soda decked in Deadview gear to show their support of our featured trunk show, The Deadview project. Armed with a huge rack of their Horror inspired screened T’s, my favorite being their Zombie hand shirt, it’s no wonder why they are a local favorite.
Up for the San Diego Music Award’s, Best New Artist, the Blood Flowers gave a rockin’ performance to our Commune crowd. Vote for them by logging onto www.sandiegomusicawards.com where you can find many other Commune featured bands up for awards as well.
All in all it was a great night at Soda with great talent, old friends and some fresh new faces. We even ended it with a spin the bottle dance party! Does it get any better than that?
